Vårdvagnen som reducerar omsorgspersonalens sannolikhet till belastningsskada : Ett projekt för att modernisera arbetsförhållandena på seniorboenden och förebygga ett repetitivt arbete bland omsorgspersonalen.

This bachelor thesis has been carried out in collaboration with health and social care department at the municipality of Kungsbacka. The innovation project has involved a product development process with purpose to modernize the working conditions at senior residence and prevent repetitive work among caregivers.  The product proposal that the project generated is a care trolley that can replace activities that are managed by caregivers today. In focus groups with the municipality, the project identified needs that formed the basis for the requirements and wishes the product proposal should meet.  Idea generation using braindrawing and brainstorming has been applied in concept development. The concepts were compared by examining the requirements and wishes of each concept.  The result was a care trolley with a garbage can, storage space, an adjustable handle and two unloading places. It is made according to requirements and wishes to be able to apply it independently of the task. The project has also involved a study and discussion of potential material that the concept may be made of and which manufacturing methods can be applied for a future product.    The product proposal is presented in a virtual model and visualized by renderings made in Keyshot 9 (2019).  The project aims to inspire and to pay attention to an ergonomic labour standard in the healthcare sector.
