Determine the inverse matrix, when this exists, and solve a linear system of equations are tasks that increase as the order of the array and the size of the system also increases the difficulties of being performed. Usually, the books of school work determining an inverse matrix using the matrix product as the product of a matrix with its inverse is equal to the identity matrix and solving a linear system by Cramer's rule and scheduling system equations. In this work, we propose to introduce high school students the concept of Elementary Transformations in the rows of a matrix and use it as a new tool for the determination of a matrix inverse and solving a system of linear equations. Elementary Transformations are, in a way, simple operations and lighter, especially compared to calculations performed to find inverse matrices of order greater than or equal to three and solutions of linear systems larger than a two-by-two system. / Determinar a matriz inversa, quando essa existir, e resolver um sistema linear de equaÃÃes sÃo tarefas que conforme aumentem a ordem da matriz e o tamanho do sistema aumentam tambÃm as dificuldades de serem realizadas. Habitualmente, os livros de ensino mÃdio trabalham a determinaÃÃo de uma matriz inversa usando o produto de matrizes, pois o produto de uma matriz com sua inversa e igual à matriz identidade, e a resoluÃÃo de um sistema linear pela regra de Cramer e escalonamento do sistema de equaÃÃes. Neste trabalho, propÃe-se apresentar aos alunos do ensino mÃdio o conceito de TransformaÃÃes Elementares nas linhas de uma matriz e utilizÃ-lo como uma nova ferramenta para a determinaÃÃo de uma matriz inversa e a resoluÃÃo de um sistema de equaÃÃes lineares. As TransformaÃÃes Elementares sÃo, de certa forma, operaÃÃes simples e mais leves, principalmente, em comparaÃÃo aos cÃlculos realizados para encontrar inversas de matrizes de ordem maiores ou iguais a trÃs e soluÃÃes de sistemas lineares maiores que um sistema dois por dois.
