Previous issue date: 2008-05-15 / The present study is inserted in the current researches on visuality and its
transformations with new technologies. As the mingling of art and the digital
world is providing new ways for artistic possibilities, which in the research, was
observed to be a complex network continuously being built, the reflection is on
the illustration creation using digital software. This research was based on the
theoretical approach by Charles Pierce, which deals with the phenomena
occurring during the creation process. By analyzing some illustrations, this work
shows how several languages (written, graphic and digital) are connected,
resulting in digital, and how production in digital software involves different
relationships between product and process. Its basics provide elements so that
the construction of the work gains amplitude. This work theoretical foundation
also received a contribution from Cecília Salles s ideas on the genesis of the work
of art creative process, in which a sign relates to another one. Other authors are
also approached, such as Arnheim, approaching the lines and forms that
translate the artist s aims; Fayga Ostrower, with her reflections on the object form
and their relations in the creative process; Kandisky, Klee and Bauhaus, in the
employment of color; and Jonhson, in aspects referring to graphic interface, as
well as the artist s communicative possibilities with the use of digital software.
The analysis of works by some artists such as Lázaro Lúcio, Getúlio Pacheco
Junior, Arthur Kenji and some by the author of this work showed the digital
interferences in illustration creation. This work reflection focused on the creative
process so that its elements can be understood in their complexity / O presente estudo insere-se nas atuais pesquisas sobre a visualidade e suas
transformações com as novas tecnologias. Como a penetração da arte no digital
está dando novos rumos para as possibilidades artísticas, e que foi vista, na
pesquisa, como rede complexa em permanente construção, procuramos refletir
sobre a criação da ilustração que utiliza os programas digitais. Nossa pesquisa
baseou-se na abordagem teórica de Charles Pierce, que trata de fenômenos
ocorridos durante o processo de criação. Com a análise de algumas ilustrações,
mostramos como várias linguagens (escrita, gráfica e digital) se conectam,
resultando no digital, e como as produções nos programas digitais envolvem
diferentes relações entre o produto e processo. Seus princípios oferecem
elementos para que a construção da obra ganhe amplitude. A fundamentação
teórica no trabalho recebeu também a contribuição das idéias de Cecília Salles
sobre a gênese do processo de criação da obra de arte, em que um signo se
remete a outro. Outros autores também são abordados, como Arnheim, na
abordagem das linhas e formas tradutoras dos objetivos do artista; Fayga
Ostrower, com suas reflexões sobre a forma do objeto e suas relações no processo
de criação; Kandisky, Klee e a Bauhaus, no emprego da cor ; e Jonhson, nos
aspectos referentes à interface gráfica e as possibilidades comunicativas do
artista com o uso dos programas digitais. A análise de obras de alguns artistas
como Lázaro Lúcio, Getúlio Pacheco Junior, Arthur Kenji e alguns próprios
mostrou as interferências digitais na criação de ilustrações. Nossa reflexão
deteve-se no processo criativo para que seus elementos possam ser entendidos
em sua complexidade
