Previous issue date: 2009-11-28 / In Goiás, as well as throughout the national territory, the agrary reform process happens slowly, and in most cases it is because social movements are pressuring the state to do so.
This paper seeks an understanding of who is the subject that forms the social basis of the MST in the state and its intrinsic relationship to the territory of the movement. If the field has
undergone abrupt changes in recent decades, the movement had to monitor these changes. Such changes make room for a new conception of land reform under new strategies to fight,
thus incorporating new subjects. The struggle for land gains new characters, the stage is now in urban centers and in the cadence of walking contradiction, a land of emigration before
reason, today is the possibility of new mass of militants from the outskirts of large urban centers. The engagement of militant urban opens spaces for reflection of the current model of production in the field, and the prospect of resistance of the peasantry in the state. From this, the thesis presents the results on who is the activist of the MST in Goiás, its forms of entry, ideas, and also their perspective on the future of their family, their contradictions and difficulties in movement. The character of migrants is another fact placed on the work, which helps to understand who is militant. Its historical and economic burden corroborates its
character of migrant. Its routines lead to militancy, and thus the struggle for land appears as a change of perspective of life and has the movement as possibility / Em Goiás, assim como em todo o território nacional, o processo de reforma agrária acontece vagarosamente, e na maioria das vezes, quando ocorre, é porque os movimentos sociais pressionam o Estado a viabilizá-la. O objetivo desse trabalho é entender quem é o militante do MST em Goiás e o que isso interfere na luta pela terra no estado. O problema dessa dissertação nasce da reflexão sobre a urbanidade de seus sujeitos e na conseqüência que isto tem na espacialização e territorialização do movimento. Se o campo sofreu transformações abruptas nas últimas décadas, os movimentos tiveram que acompanhar essas mudanças. Tais
mudanças abrem espaço para uma nova concepção de reforma agrária sob novas estratégias de luta, incorporando assim novos sujeitos. A luta pela terra ganha novos personagens, o palco agora se faz nos grandes centros urbanos e caminhando na cadência da contradição, a
terra antes motivo de êxodo, hoje serve de possibilidade à nova massa de militantes oriundas das periferias dos grandes centros urbanos. O engajamento de militantes urbanos abre espaços para a reflexão do atual modelo de produção no campo, bem como a perspectiva de resistência do campesinato em Goiás. Diante disso, a dissertação apresenta o resultado sobre a expropriação histórica desse sujeito, que perpassa seus avós e seus pais, até chegar no atual
militante residente nos grandes centros urbanos, e que vê no movimento um retorno afetivo ao seu passado familiar. O seu caráter de migrante é outro fato colocado, que vem somar o
entendimento sobre esse sujeito. Seu fardo histórico e econômico corrobora para seu caráter de migrante. Seu ir e vir o leva para a militância, e assim, a luta pela terra aparece como uma perspectiva de mudança de vida e o movimento enquanto possibilidade
