Pourquoi proposons-nous ce titre ? Pourquoi une telle entrée « Le Moi et l’Autre » dans la poésie ? Comment peut-on s’interroger sur les représentations du Moi et de l’Autre à travers des poèmes antéislamiques ? En quoi, les Mu‘allaqât nous offrent-elles un espace de lecture du Moi et de l’Autre ? Cette étude ouvre en quelque sorte un pan entier de la poésie et de la compréhension des univers symboliques et psychosociaux qu’elle véhicule. Dans un souci d’explorer de nouvelles approches de l’analyse des textes littéraires, nous considérons que la poésie antéislamique constitue un puits inépuisable pour comprendre les phénomènes liés à la construction de l’identité et à la rencontre avec l’Autre. Cette thèse s’intéresse à ce que peut nous révéler tout texte poétique, à savoir un symbolisme fertile, un univers sociologique et un imaginaire social. / Whence this title "The Self and the Other", why such an introduction to poetry? How can the representations of the Self and of the Other be explored in ante-islamic poems? In what ways do the Mu‘allaqât offer a place for interpreting the Self and the Other? This study opens up, as it were, a whole aspect of poetry and of the understanding of the symbolical and psycho-social worlds it vehicles. In the effort to experiment new approaches in the analysis of literary texts, it considers ante-islamic poetry as an inexhaustible resource to understand events related to the construction of the Self and to the encounter with the Other. This thesis is concerned with what any poetic text may reveal to us, namely a fertile symbolism, a sociological universe and a social imaginative world.
