Temos aktualumas ir naujumas. Narkomanijos augimas – viena aštriausių problemų, su kuriomis pastaraisiais dešimtmečiais susiduria visuomenė. Susirūpinus sparčiai plintančia narkomanijos problema, Lietuvoje rengiamos įvairios programos, kuriami projektai, atliekami įvairūs tyrimai. Siekiant išsiaiškinti, kiek ši problema šiandien aktuali Visagino miesto bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose, atliktas empirinis tyrimas.
Pagal pateiktus valstybinio psichikos sveikatos centro duomenis akivaizdžiai matyti, kad Visaginas pirmauja tarp kitų Lietuvos miestų ir rajonų pagal ligotumą dėl priklausomybės narkotinėms medžiagoms. Taigi, todėl yra aktualu nagrinėti šią problemą, kuri yra gan nauja, netikėta ir atrodanti tokia grėsminga.
Darbo teorinis ir praktinis reikšmingumas. Kadangi nėra atliktų tyrimų, todėl nėra ir duomenų apie paauglių narkotinių ir psichotropinių medžiagų vartojimą Visagino bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose, ar tai yra problema, gali atsakyti tik sistemingi ir kvalifikuoti empiriniai tyrimai. Atlikto tyrimo teorinis reikšmingumas tai, kad parengtos paauglių narkomanijos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose prevencijos strategijos gairės, o praktinis reikšmingumas tai, kad jos lengvai modifikuojamos konkrečiai bendrojo lavinimo mokyklai.
Darbo objektas: paauglių narkomanijos prevencija Visagino bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose strateginiu aspektu.
Tyrimo tikslas: parengti paauglių narkomanijos prevencijos Visagino bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose strategines gaires.

Worrying about quickly expanding problem of drug addiction in Lithuania the different programs are made, the projects are created and the different surveys are done. Trying to clarify how much this problem is relevant today in comprehensive schools of Visaginas town the empirical survey is done.
After the data of The Center of Psychological Health it is obvious that Visaginas is leading among the other towns and regions of Lithuania by the condition of diseases regarding the dependence on the narcotic materials. Therefore is very topical to analyze this problem that is rather new, sudden and looks so ominous.
The theoretical and practical significance of work. Because there is no investigations, there is no data about the use of narcotic and psycho-tropical materials by the teenagers in general education schools of Visaginas, is there a problem only the systematical and qualified empirical surveys can answer. The theoretical significance of done survey is that there are prepared the guidelines of prevention strategy for the teenagers narcotic addiction at comprehensive schools and the practical significance is that they are easily modified for the concrete comprehensive school.
