2009_LeonardoGonçalvesdeMenezes.pdf: 704456 bytes, checksum: f2572c6064e386d3673a3f1528333218 (MD5) / Lavoura Arcaica, obra maior do escritor paulista Raduan Nassar, é um romance que dialoga, de modo crítico, com a produção literária dos anos setenta, trazendo em suas linhas tão prosaicas quando poéticas uma forma de posicionamento literário frente às diversas correntes narrativas que caracterizaram a década. Seu resgate do intimismo confronta o realismo feroz predominante no período, com um narrador em primeira pessoa extremamente subjetivo, distante do referencial. A obra contém em sua estrutura elementos radicalmente contrários, como a parábola bíblica (reinterpretada) e a discussão sobre o trágico. Esses elementos, reunidos, permitem a revelação dos mecanismos de dominação subjacentes ao discurso da ordem e da racionalidade, por meio da ironia trágica. A funcionalidade da narrativa da parábola entra em conflito com a irracionalidade do trágico e seu sentido de predeterminação do destino, o que se aproxima, por sua vez, do fatalismo corânico do maktub. Essa paráfrase de gêneros contraditórios mostra como os discursos do pai e do filho, radicalmente opostos no romance, acabam por construir uma visão da totalidade, na qual os contrários se equilibram para que se alcance uma reflexão sobre o questionamento da autoridade patriarcal, das regras sociais de repressão e faz ver também que a arte é o terreno propício para se representar a luta humana contra o cerceamento contínuo do capital e de seu modelo de dominação pelo trabalho, ainda que, na pós-modernidade, tal relação se coloque como condição imprescindível para se alcançar a plena liberdade. _____________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Lavoura Arcaica, most important work of the brazilian writer Raduan Nassar, is a romance that puts into dialogue, in a critical sense, the brazilian literary production from the seventies, bringing, in both prosaic and poetic lines, a literary way of standing in front of the many narrative models that constitute this decade. With an extremely subjective, as well as distant from objective writing, first-person narrator, the romance’s rescue of intimism faces the harsh realism that prevails on the period. This work reunites in its structure some very contradictory literary approachs, like the reinterpreted biblic parabole and a discussion about the tragic itself. These elements, together, allow us to have a new possibility of revelation to the domination mechanisms inherent to the speech of order and rationality, through the use of tragic irony. The functionality of the parabole’s narrative stands against the irrationality of the tragic itself and its sense of destiny’s predetermination, which approaches the Koran’s fatalism: maktub. This paraphrase reuniting separate genres shows how the speeches of the father and the son, radically opposite in the romance, end up constructing a vision of totality. In this sense, the contrary instances reach balance so that it becomes possible to find a mature thought on the patriarchal’s authority questioning and the social rules of repression. Thus, it is possible to see that art is a proper ground to represent the human stand against the Capital’s continuous impriosionment and its model of oppression through work, although, in the post-modern era, this relation puts itself as an undeniable condition to find absolute freedom.
