Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) / Este trabalho tem por objetivo identificar a visão dos professores de matemática do Ensino Médio em relação à importância do ensino do conteúdo de Números Complexos no Ensino Médio. Na abordagem metodológica foi optado pela pesquisa qualitativa por meio de análise de questionários aplicados aos professores de matemática que atuam na Rede Estadual de Ensino em alguns Municípios da região Oeste do Paraná. Por meio dessa pesquisa, observamos que a maioria dos pesquisados acham relevante lecionar o conjunto dos Números Complexos para os alunos do Ensino Médio, pois caso não seja trabalhado, acarretará algum tipo de prejuízo ao educando. Foi possível observar que o conjunto dos Números Complexos não aparece na matriz de conteúdos do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM), mas faz parte do currículo de ensino e está presente na maioria dos vestibulares pesquisados. Eventualmente a despreocupação desse repasse de conteúdo é contestada pelos professores, devido sua pouca aplicabilidade no cotidiano do aluno. / This work aims to identify the view of high school mathematics teachers in relation to the importance of teaching the content of Complex Numbers in High School. In the methodological approach, qualitative research was chosen through the analysis of questionnaires applied to mathematics teachers who work in the State Education Network in some municipalities in the western region of Paraná. Through this research, we observed that the majority of respondents consider it relevant to teach the set of Complex Numbers for high school students, because if it is not worked, it will cause some kind of prejudice to the student. It was possible to observe that the set of Complex Numbers does not appear in the content matrix of the National High School Examination (ENEM), but it is part of the teaching curriculum and is present in most vestibular studies. Eventually the unconcern of this transfer of content is contested by the teachers, due to its little applicability in the daily life of the student.
