Compounding, one of the word-formation processes, has been under the focus of many researchers. However, as Bisetto and Scalise (2005) claim, some compound types are neglected. In Turkish, compounds with verbal constituents are one of these neglected types. Therefore, this study investigates this particular type of compound by focusing on the properties such as lexical category, internal structure, headedness, inflection and argument structure. After analyzing the majority of the aforementioned compound types with the help of Turkish explanatory dictionary (Türk Dil Kurumu 2022), this study concludes that compounds with verbal constituents in Turkish contain both nominal and verbal properties.
