Introduction: Cardiovascular disease is the most common disease in Sweden today. It can be reduced with effective prevention and treatment. Primary care has an important role to play in detecting, diagnosing, treating and monitoring cardiovascular disease. The aim of the study was to investigate which factors that affect teamwork at heart failure clinics in primary care. Method: Systematic literature study with inductive approach and content analysis according to Graneheim and Lundman (2004) was conducted. Results: Two categories with subcategories emerged in the analysis. The first category was The collaboration between professions with the subcategories: The importance of good communication and Responsibility, respect and hierarchy. The second category was: Way of working with the subcategories: Person-centered approach and Coordination and information. Conclusion: The study found that both nurses and doctors want better communication and that it is precisely communication that provides well-functioning teamwork. It is important to have a clear division of responsibilities between professions in the team.
