Esta tesis analiza las transformaciones territoriales que se han producido en torno a la
actividad forestal en la Provincia del Neuquén. El enfoque principal aborda la realidad
como una totalidad empírica que permite comprender, desde el análisis del sistema de
objetos y del sistema de acciones, el uso del territorio en un período de tiempo que va
desde 1920 a la actualidad. Para tener una visión del uso del territorio en el devenir
temporal se realizó una periodización, en tres fragmentos de tiempo, los cuales dan
cuenta del rol del Estado, la división territorial del trabajo y el accionar de los actores
sociales en un sistema normativo que se fue haciendo más complejo, hasta encontrar su
máxima expresión en el período actual. Es por eso que en esta tesis se muestra el
proceso de modernización que atraviesa el territorio, en forma heterogénea, y los nuevos
mecanismos de organización forestal que explican un movimiento combinado y
diferencial entre los forestadores regionales y las empresas transnacionales, generando
una dinámica distinta, que dio origen al circuito en la década de los años 1970. Así los
espacios globalizados y fragmentados forman parte de la realidad de esta Provincia, que
integra parte del mundo presente. / This Thesis analyzes the territorial changes that have occurred around forestry in
Neuquén province. The main focus deals with empirical reality as a whole to
understand, from object and action systems analysis, the use of territory in a period of
time that goes from 1920 to present. In order to have a correct perspective of use of
territory in the temporal evolution, a periodization was used divided in three different
fragments of time, that takes into account the role of State, territorial labour division
and the actions of social actors in a normative system that became more complex over
time. This is the reason why this Thesis shows the territorial modernization process, as a
heterogeneous one, and the new mechanisms of forest organization that explain a
combined and differential movement between regional foresters and transnational
corporations, creating a different dynamic that generated the circuit in the early 1970’s.
Thus, globalized and fragmented spaces are part of the reality of this geographical area;
in other words, they are part of the present world.
