Bakgrund: Palliativ vård för barn är ett speciellt omvårdnadsområde och sjuksköterskan har stark påverkan av hur barnet och familjen upplever den palliativa vården. Det som är speciellt med palliativ vård för barn är att barnets föräldrar ofta är mycket mer aktivt involverade i omvårdnadsåtgärder än anhöriga till en vuxen som får palliativ vård. För att sjuksköterskan ska kunna ge bästa möjliga vård för sörjande föräldrar behövs ypperliga färdigheter när det gäller kommunikation och kunskap om ett lämpligt ingripande vid vård vid livets slut. Syfte: Sjuksköterskors upplevelser av pediatrisk palliativ vård och vård vid livets slut. Metod: Den metod som valts ut för att besvara syftet i denna studie är en litteraturstudie av vetenskapliga artiklar som har en kvalitativ utgångspunkt. Resultat: Sex teman framkom i resultatet; Vårdprocess som väcker känslor, Problematik med kommunikation och stöd i vården, Känslors påverkan i relationen till barnet och familjen, När konflikter stör vårdandet, Känslor av att inte räcka till och Att se de positiva i det svåra. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskor behöver stöd på många olika plan för att kunna bedriva en god palliativ vård för barn. Det är viktigt att de får stöd från kollegor och organisationen och att de har en god kunskap. / Background: Palliative care for children is a special nursing area and the nurse strongly affects how the child and family experiences palliative care.Palliative care for children is special because the child's parents are often much more actively involved in nursing care than families of adults who are receiving palliative care. For the nurse to provide the best possible care for grieving parents they need excellent skills in communication and knowledge of an appropriate intervention in care at end of life. Aim: Nurses' experience of pediatric palliative care and care at end of life. Method: The method chosen to answer the purpose of this study is a literature review of scientific articles that have a qualitative perspective. Findings: Six themes in the result were revealed; Care process that arouses emotions, Problems with communication and support in health care, Emotions influence in relation to the child and family,When conflicts interfere caring, Feelings of being inadequate and To see the positive in the difficult. Conclusion: Nurses need support on many different levels in order to conduct a good palliative care for children. It is important that they receive support from colleagues and the organization and that they have a good knowledge.
