Bakgrund: Årligen insjuknar 30 000 människor i stroke i Sverige, där 6100 personer avlider i sjukdomen. Stroke är en sjukdom där cirkulationsstörningar uppstår i nervvävnaden i hjärnan, vilket ger neurologiska bortfall som symtom. Detta uppstår av artärembolier, trombos och hjärnblödningar. Rehabiliteringen utförs av ett tvärprofessionellt team, där målet med rehabilitering är minskning av funktionsnedsättning. Sjuksköterskans roll under rehabilitering innefattar bedömning, teknisk och fysisk vård, samordning, informativ, stöd och att involvera anhöriga i vården. Ett sätt att involvera patient och anhöriga och att ge rätt stöd för patienten är jobba personcentrerat. Syfte: Att belysa patienters upplevelser av rehabilitering efter stroke. Metod: Litteraturstudien är baserad på artiklar med kvalitativ metod. Databaserna PubMed och Cinahl användes och där identifieras 10 artiklar som inkluderades i studien och blev kvalitetsgranskade. Resultat: Två teman och fem subteman identifierades. Första temat var Varierande upplevelser av rehabilitering med subteman Dagliga utmaningar och Förhoppningar om att återfå fysiska funktioner. Det andra temat var Omgivningens inverkan på upplevelsen med subteman Behovet av att få vårdpersonalens stöd, Betydelsen av anhörigas stöd och Vikten av att ha kontakt med medpatienter. Konklusion: Deltagarna upplevde att deras livskvalité hade försämrats till följd av stroke. Hoppet om att återfå tidigare fysiska funktioner gav motivation till rehabilitering. Personal, anhöriga och medpatienter påverkade upplevelsen av rehabiliteringen på olika sätt. Det kunde ha en positiv inverkan på upplevelsen men även en negativ beroende på deras agerande. Att förstå vad som ger patienten motivation och en positiv upplevelse kan ge patienter med stroke en bättre omvårdnad. / Background: 30 000 people yearly experience a stroke in Sweden with 6100 of the cases leading to death. Stroke is a circulatory disease that affects the nerve tissue in the brain. That causes neurological neglect for the patient. Stroke can be caused by arterial embolism, thrombosis and cerebral hemorrhage. The rehabilitation is performed by an interprofessional team, with the goal of decreasing disability. The role of the nurse during rehabilitation is examination, technical and physical care, coordination, informative, supportive and to involve relatives in the care. One method to involve both the patient and the relatives is using person-centered care. Purpose: To illustrate patients experience of rehabilitation after a stroke Method: The literature study is based on a literature oversight of qualitative articles. PubMed and Cinahl were the databases that was used to acquire the 10 articles in the study. They were all subjected to a quality review done with review template from SBU. Result: Two themes and five subthemes were identified. The first theme was Varing experiences of rehabilitation with the two subthemes Daily challanges and the hope of regaining previous physical functions. The second theme that was identified was The surrounding impact on the experience and the three subthemes The need for the staffs support, The relatives’ supports impact and the importance of interactiong with co-patients. Conclusion: The participants experienced a deuterated quality of life caused by stroke. The hope of regaining previous physical functions gave the participants motivation towards rehabilitation. The staff, relatives and fellow patients all had an impact on the participants experience differently. Positive and negative impacts on their experience were determined by how the people around the participant acted. To understand what gives the patient motivation and a positive experience could improve the level of care.
