Previous issue date: 2017-12-15 / A presente pesquisa foi desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado Profissional em Patrimônio Cultural, Paisagens e Cidadania. Trata-se de um estudo sobre os discursos, conflitos e interesses envolvidos no processo de construção do Colégio de Viçosa como patrimônio histórico da cidade de Viçosa-MG. O período abordado no trabalho está compreendido entre os anos de 1990 e 2017, quando se intensificaram os discursos patrimoniais do município, com o surgimento de leis de proteção ao patrimônio histórico, artístico, paisagístico, arqueológico, paleontológico, turístico, cultural, científico e ambiental, assim como a criação da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, com um Departamento voltado às questões da memória e do patrimônio, e, do Conselho Municipal de Cultura e do Patrimônio Cultural e Ambiental. Pensar as práticas patrimonialistas envolvidas na construção de um patrimônio histórico implica problematizar questões, muitas vezes implícitas, referentes às ações e conflitos originados pelas práticas de seleção, preservação e consagração do patrimônio. E a partir desse pressuposto, iniciamos a pesquisa com reflexões teóricas dos conceitos de memória, identidade e patrimônio. O trabalho dedicou-se a abordar questões que serviram de base para contextualizar e subsidiar as indagações sobre o nosso objeto de estudo; o Colégio de Viçosa, com a finalidade de interpretar e identificar as razões e interesses envolvidos em todo decorrer do processo. Para tanto, foram analisados as bibliografias, os documentos constantes no Arquivo da Câmara Municipal de Viçosa, da Superintendência Regional de Ensino de Ponte Nova, da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura, Esporte, Lazer e Turismo, dentre outros. Além da pesquisa teórica, realizamos também um trabalho de intervenção prática que constitui o “Produto Final” do trabalho. Considerando a importância do Colégio de Viçosa para a cidade, visto o seu tombamento municipal em 1999, confeccionamos uma cartilha digital a partir do ordenamento e sistematização dos dados obtidos na pesquisa, com o objetivo de dar certa organicidade e disponibilizar os resultados encontrados durante o estudo. / The present research was developed within the scope of the Professional Masters in Cultural, Landscapes and Citizenship Heritage. It is a study about discourses, conflicts and interests involved in the process of Colégio de Viçosa`s construction as historical heritage of Viçosa- MG. The period covered at this paper is comprised between 1990 and 2017, when the municipality's heritage discourses were intensified, with the emergence of laws protecting the historical, artistic, landscape, archaeological, paleontological, tourist, cultural, scientific and environmental heritage, as well as the creation of: Municipal Department of Culture, with a Department focused on issues of memory and heritage, and the Municipal Culture Council and Cultural and Environmental Heritage. Thinking about the patrimonialism practices involved in the historical heritage construction implies problematizing issues, often implicit, concerning the actions and conflicts originated by the practices of selection, preservation and consecration of the patrimony. And from this assumption, was started the research with theoretical reflections of memory concepts, identity and patrimony. It was focused on issues that that served as basis for contextualizing and subsidizing questions about our object of study, the Colégio de Viçosa. In order to interpret and identify reasons and interests involved throughout the process, documents included in the Viçosa City Hall Archive, Ponte Nova Teaching Regional Superintendency, Municipal Department of Culture, Sports, Leisure and Tourism, among others, were analyzed. Besides the theoretical research, was also performed a practical intervention that constitutes the "Final Product". Considering the Colégio de Viçosa importance and its municipal registration in 1999, was made a digital booklets based on ordering and systematization data obtained in the research, aiming to give a certain organicity and make available the results found during the study.
