ferrari_ah_me_arafcl.pdf: 1221426 bytes, checksum: ccff6d93cea555ef2e07067385c85c88 (MD5) / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) / O presente trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma análise dos fundamentos, princípios e práticas da Educação Ambiental, a partir do estudo de práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas em escolas de Ensino Fundamental da Rede Municipal da cidade de Araraquara, Estado de São Paulo. Foram tomados como referência a documentação oficial (orientações, parâmetros curriculares, regulamentações e leis em nível federal, estadual e municipal) e autores cuja obra e experiências com a temática ambiental contribuem para o entendimento da questão no âmbito da educação escolar formal. Os procedimentos metodológicos utilizados na pesquisa consistiram na análise das propostas de Educação Ambiental contidas nos projetos políticopedagógicos das unidades escolares envolvidas na pesquisa, em entrevistas com roteiro semiestruturado, realizadas com os coordenadores pedagógicos das escolas, e em entrevistas com roteiro semi-estruturado com professores que desenvolvem práticas sobre o tema. Trata-se de um estudo fundamentado numa abordagem qualitativa e se baseia na concepção de Educação Ambiental como um processo de ensino-aprendizagem voltado à construção e exercício da cidadania. Os resultados revelam a existência de uma gama diversificada de projetos e atividades em Educação Ambiental, desenvolvidas nos diferentes anos do ensino fundamental, nas escolas que fizeram parte da pesquisa. No entanto, tais resultados apontam a ausência de fundamentos teóricos, conceituais e metodológicos que alicercem o trabalho pedagógico com a temática ambiental nestas escolas. / The objective of this work is to accomplish an analysis of the fundaments, principles and practices of Environmental Education from a study of pedagogical practices developed in municipal elementary education schools, in Araraquara city, São Paulo State, Brazil. The official documentation (orientations, parameters of the curriculum, regulation and laws at three levels - federal, of the state, and municipal) and authors whose work about environmental theme and experience in this field contribute for the understanding of this subject in the formal school education were taken as reference .The methodological procedures used in the research were: the analysis of Environmental Education proposes from the political – pedagogical projects of the school unities involved in the research; interviews with semi structured schedules with the pedagogical coordinator of the schools; interviews with semi-structured schedules with teachers who developed practices about this theme. This study is based in a qualitative approach and in the conception of Environmental Education as an education-learning process whose aim is the construction and the exercise of citizenship. The results show the existence of a diversified range of projects and activities in Environmental Education, developed in the different grades of elementary education, at the schools participating in the research. Nevertheless, the results show a lack of theoric, conceptual, and methodological fundaments that can establish the pedagogical work with the environmental theme in the schools involved in the research.
