Hypotermi under anestesi är för anestesisjuksköterskor ett välbekant problem som kan ge komplikationer och obehag för patienten. Aktiva omvårdnadsåtgärder krävs för att förebygga hypotermin. Varmluftstäcke är idag den vanligaste metoden för att värma peroperativt, men är i vissa situationer otillräcklig för att förebygga hypotermi. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att granska den vetenskapliga litteraturen avseende alternativa metoder för att förebygga peroperativ hypotermi hos vuxna patienter kontra varmluftstäcke. Studien har genomförts som en litteraturstudie med tio kvantitativa artiklar. I studiens resultat framkom fem metoder. Varmvattendräkt och pulserande negativt tryck var effektivare än varmluftstäcke för att undvika peroperativ hypotermi. Kolfiberfilt var likvärdig, elektrisk värmedyna visade motsägande resultat medan strålningsvärme inte var lika effektiv som varmluftstäcke. / Hypothermia is common in anaesthetized patients and is a well known problem for nurse anaesthetists that can cause complications and discomfort for the patients. Active nursing interventions are needed to prevent hypothermia. Forced-air warming is the most common method for peroperative warming, but are in some situations inadequate to prevent hypothermia. The aim of this study was to interpret the research literature to find out alternative methods in preventing perioperative hypothermia in adult patients versus forced-air warming. The design of this study is a literature review, including ten quantitative articles. The results showed five methods. Warmwatergarment and Locally applied warm water and pulsating negative pressure were both more effective than Forced-air warming to maintain body temperature during surgery. Resistive heating are comparably effective, Electric heating pad showed contradictory results while Radiant heating was not as effective as forced-air warming.
