Företag strävar i dagens samhälle efter ständiga förbättringar för att kunna anpassa sig till den ständigt föränderliga omvärlden. Den berörda organisationen verkar inom underhållningsbranschen. Organisationen har en styrande funktion vid namn portföljstyrning som fallstudien kommer undersöka. Portföljstyrning ska hjälpa organisationen att prioritera initiativ, ge ledningen kontroll samt balansera projektportföljen. Utmaningen är att kommunicera respektive informera om portföljstyrningen till hela organisationen. Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur de nya initiativen kommuniceras ut i organisationen med hjälp av portföljstyrning samt hur organisationen kan minska det organisatoriska motståndet vid implementering av nya initiativ. Det kommer även att presenteras förbättringsförslag till funktionen av portföljstyrning. De vetenskapliga teorier som studien behandlar är portföljstyrning, processer, kvalitetsverktyg, ledarskapsstilar, förändringsledning, kommunikation, organisatorisk förändringsberedskap och agilt arbetssätt. Studiens design är av kvalitativ form med fallstudie som tillvägagångsätt. Den datainsamlingsmetod som använts är en triangulering då studien använder granskning av dokument, litteraturstudie och intervju. Utifrån dataanalysmetoden upprättades tre teman som genomsyrar hela rapporten, portföljstyrning, organisatoriskt motstånd och kommunikation. Resultatet presenterar ett nuläge för hur funktionen fungerar. Det som framkom var även att portföljstyrningen är tydlig enligt intervjupersonerna. Genom analyser ansågs kommunikationen vara det största problemet till portföljstyrningen i nuläget. Slutsatserna som dragits är att organisation U i första hand bör upprätta ett tydligt ramverk för de olika begrepp som finns i funktionen. Tydligt skilja på vad kommunikation respektive information är och slutligen upprätta en kommunikationsplan för funktionen. / In today's society, companies strive for continuous improvement in order to adapt to the increasingly changing world. The specific organization operates in the entertainment industry. The organization has a governing function, portfolio management, which will be investigated. Portfolio management should help the organization to prioritize initiatives, give management control and balance the project portfolio. The challenge is to communicate and inform about portfolio management to the entire organization. The purpose of the study is to investigate how the new initiatives are communicated in the organization using portfolio management and how they can reduce organizational resistance when implementing new initiatives. Improvement proposals for the function of portfolio management will also be presented. The scientific theories that the study deals with are portfolio management, processes, quality tools, leadership styles, change management, communication, organizational change readiness and agile working methods. The design of the study is of a qualitative form with a case study approach. The data collection method used is a triangulation as it uses document review, literature study and interviews. Based on the data analysis method, three themes were established that pervade the entire report, portfolio management, organizational defense and communication. The result, in turn, presents an understanding of how the function works. What also emerged was that the portfolio management is clear according to the interviewees. Through analyses, communication was considered to be the biggest problem for portfolio management in the current situation. The conclusions drawn are that the organization should primarily establish a clear framework for the various concepts in the function. Clearly distinguish between what communication and information is and finally establish a communication plan for the function.
