In this paper, I propose to investigate the correlation between photography and narrative, emphasizing how photographs can be a well-suited means to shape the memories that form part of our narratives. I argue that by actively incorporating photographs into the memories we preserve, we are empowered to play a more active role in how we remember our lives. Consequently, this agency may allow us to transform our narratives into something more distinct and tangible compared to what they would have been without their inclusion.
