Previous issue date: 2015-01-06 / This master thesis consists of two articles. The first article is a theoretical study, while the second is an empirical article. The primary objective of this thesis was to investigate and understand the subjectivity of the Generation Y. The theoretical paper, structured as a nonsystematic review, proposes a discussion of the subjectivity established by the Generation Y considering their integrants agents and subjects of the contemporary time. The empirical article is the result of a qualitative, exploratory and cross-sectional research, which goal is the description and understanding of the subjectivity presented by the Generation Y. To achieve this purpose, semi-structured interviews with open exploratory axis were made. The themes of the interview were: work, interpersonal and virtual relationships, self and others image, time (routine), ethical ideals, idols (celebrities), violence, consumption, goals and critical about contemporary society. The method used to analyze the content of the interviews was the Interpretative Analysis proposed by Frederick Erickson. The conclusions were that the Generation Y present ambivalence, idealism and the persistence of adolescent traits; propose various critics and demands towards the context where they live and have high expectations about themselves; consider the collective and creative work the key to professional achievement; maintain that experience other cultures is vital for personal development and classify the lack of respect for individuality one of the most reprehensible forms of violence. / Esta disserta??o de mestrado ? composta por dois artigos. O primeiro artigo ? um trabalho te?rico, enquanto que o segundo ? um artigo emp?rico. O objetivo geral da disserta??o foi investigar e compreender as formas de subjetiva??o dos jovens da Gera??o Y. O artigo te?rico, estruturado como uma revis?o narrativa, prop?e uma discuss?o a respeito das formas de subjetiva??o dos indiv?duos da Gera??o Y, considerando-os agentes e sujeitos do tempo contempor?neo. O artigo emp?rico ? fruto de uma pesquisa qualitativa, transversal e explorat?ria que estabeleceu como objetivo a investiga??o, descri??o e compreens?o das formas de subjetiva??o dos jovens da Gera??o Y. Para atingir este prop?sito, foram realizadas entrevistas abertas semi-estruturadas com os seguintes eixos explorat?rios: trabalho, rela??es interpessoais e virtuais, imagem de si e dos outros, tempo (rotina), valores ?ticos, ?dolos (celebridades), viol?ncia, consumo, objetivos e cr?ticas sobre a sociedade contempor?nea. O m?todo utilizado para a an?lise dos dados obtidos atrav?s das entrevistas foi a An?lise Interpretativa proposto por Frederick Erickson. A partir do conte?do das entrevistas, concluise que os jovens da Gera??o Y apresentam ambival?ncia, idealismo e a persist?ncia de tra?os da adolesc?ncia; prop?em diversas cr?ticas e exig?ncias em rela??o ao contexto em que vivem e altas expectativas em rela??o a si mesmos; consideram o trabalho coletivo e criativo a via principal para a realiza??o profissional; sustentam que vivenciar outras culturas ? fundamental para o crescimento pessoal e classificam a falta de respeito pela individualidade como uma das mais reprov?veis manifesta??es de viol?ncia.
