The goal of this work was to research the effectiveness of physiotherapy means, which stimulates psychomotor development of the premature babies growing in the families and the children shelter house. The research involved the 27th premature babies growing in the families and the 19th premature babies growing in the children shelter house. The questionnaire inquiry was used for the analysis purposes of the premature babies.
Munich functional development diagnostic test was used for determination of the effectiveness of physiotherapy, which stimulates psychomotor development. The research was carried out at the age of babies of three and six months. The program of plied physiotherapy means was prepared according to the age of infant-baby. The program was divided in two stages. Each stage was performed at different period of the life of the baby. The first stage was time from the 3rd to the 12th week and the second stage was from 13th to the 24th week.
The questionnaire inquiry showed that many of premature babies had both parents, although the parents of babies of children shelter house were divorced. The problems in families are discussed often, whereas parents did not visit babies of children shelter house or the visits were very seldom (64%). The mostly mentioned reasons for complicated pregnancies in families were imminent miscarriage (abortion), medicaments, smoking, alcohol and strong perturbation.
