La presente es un estudio de caso único sistemático de una intervención psicoterapéutica
psicoanalítica de corte focal. Los objetivos de este estudio son (1) describir y comprender
como varían las capacidades de percepción de sí mismo y de comunicación, y (2) determinar
cómo se relacionan las capacidades de percepción de sí mismo y de comunicación con los
episodios de cambio a lo largo del proceso psicoterapéutico psicoanalítico de corte focal de
una mujer en situación de violencia. Para ello, se analizaron las sesiones iniciales y finales haciendo
uso del Diagnóstico Psicodinámico operacionalizado (OPD-2) (Grupo OPD, 2008), y se hallaron los
Episodios de Cambio codificados que coincidían con dichas sesiones, según la propuesta de
Krause et al. (2006). A partir de ello, se realizó un análisis cualitativo sobre el cambio en las
Capacidades de Percepción de sí mismo y de Comunicación hacia dentro y hacia afuera
presentes en las sesiones analizadas con relación a los Episodios de Cambio de dichas
sesiones. Los resultados de este estudio encuentran que las capacidades mencionadas se
relacionan con los episodios de cambio a partir de los cambios en las representaciones
cognitivas y afectivas que se dieron, en su mayoría, respecto a teorías subjetivas relacionadas
a la identidad que dieron cuenta de la percepción de sí mismo, la vivencia de los afectos, la
comunicación de los mismos y la empatía. Además, entre la fase inicial y final del proceso,
las capacidades de percepción de sí mismo tuvieron el cambio más amplio respecto a las
capacidades analizadas, la capacidad de comunicación hacia dentro no fue evaluable, y la
capacidad de comunicación hacia fuera tuvo el cambio más bajo. Esto indica un mejor nivel
de funcionamiento de estas capacidades estructurales del self y puede ser un indicador de la
efectividad de la terapia / The present study is a systematic single-case investigation of a focal psychoanalytic
psychotherapeutic intervention. The objectives of this study are (1) describe and understand
how self-perception and communication skills vary, and (2) determine how Self-perception
and Communication skills are related to Episodes of Change throughout the focal
psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic process of a woman in a situation of violence. For this
purpose, the initial and final sessions were analyzed using the Operationalized
Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD-2) (Grupo OPD, 2008) and the coded Episodes of Change that
coincided with these sessions were found, according to Krause's proposal (Krause et al.,
2006). From this, a qualitative analysis was carried out about the change in the Capacities of
Self-perception and Communication inwards and outwards present in the analyzed sessions
and the configuration of the Episodes of Change of said sessions from psychoanalytic theory.
The results of this study find that the capacities mentioned are related to the episodes of
change based on the changes in cognitive and affective representations that occurred
throughout the process, which mostly occurred in subjective theories related to identity,
which accounted for self-perception, the experience of affections, their communication and
empathy. In addition, between the initial and final phase of the process, the self-perception
capacities had the largest change with respect to the capacities analyzed, the inward
communication capacity was not evaluable, and the outward communication capacity had
the lower change. This indicates a better level of functioning of these structural capacities of
the self and can be an indicator of the effectiveness of the therapy.
