Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / In this dissertation, we present a methodology developedwith students of the 3rd grade of High School, in which we try to develop the abilities of reading and interpretation in the Chemistry Teaching. For this purpose, we used texts of scientific divulgation, not didactic, which brought issues and curiosities referring tothe content of Organic Chemistry. Furthermore, we thought in an approach that was inserted in the daily life of the students and that stimulate the autonomy of these students before their process of learning, therefore all the didactic activities were performed through a website developed by the supervisor teacher of this dissertation and managed by him and by the author of the work. The results presented demonstrated the serious problems faced by the students when it is proposed questions that require the domination of these abilities, nevertheless they also point in the sense that it is possible to improve them using a systematic method, accompanied by the teacher and that brings relevant issues to the formation of the students. / Nesta dissertação, apresentamos uma metodologia desenvolvida com estudantes da 3ª série do Ensino Médio, por meio da qual procuramos desenvolver as habilidades de leitura e interpretação no Ensino de Química. Para tal, utilizamos textos de divulgação científica, não didáticos, que trouxeram assuntos e curiosidades referentes aos conteúdos de Química Orgânica. Ainda, pensamos em uma abordagem que estivesse inserida no cotidiano dos estudantes e que estimulasse suas autonomias perante o processo de aprendizagem. Desta forma, todas as atividades didáticas foram realizadas através de um site desenvolvido pelo professor orientador desta dissertação, que administrou tal site juntamente com a autora do trabalho. Os resultados apresentados demonstram os sérios problemas enfrentados pelos discentes quando lhes são propostas questões que exigem o domínio das habilidades de leitura e interpretação; contudo, também apontam no sentido de que é possível aprimorá-las utilizando um método sistemático acompanhado pelo professor e que traga assuntos relevantes para a formação dos alunos.
