The purpose of this thesis is to identify issues in the insurance coverage of a family house which was flooded. The main focus of my work is to value a property by the cost method, as well as documenting damages and determining the appropriate cost of the required repairs or reconstruction in accordance with the insurance contract. Furthermore, I will determine a new insurance value of the property. In the theoretical section, fundamental concepts are outlined, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
