Arbetet med hållbarhet är idag är ett aktuellt ämne som allt fler företag väljer att ta del av och engagera sig i. Med detta kan redovisningskonsultens traditionella roll komma att ändras. Dock uppmärksammas en avsaknad av kompetens från konsulterna varpå kompetensutveckling inom hållbar rådgivning är essentiellt. Anpassningen till att arbeta med hållbarhet och att utveckla kompetens hos konsulterna utgör ett ansvar på redovisningsbyråerna för att de ska uppnå målet med att vägleda företag mot att växa sunt. Syftet med studien är att identifiera de kompetensområden redovisningskonsulter behöver kompetensutvecklas inom för att på ett optimalt sätt kunna vägleda företag mot att växa sunt. Vidare är syftet att undersöka om det finns faktorer som påverkar arbetet med kompetensutveckling, vilka redovisningsbyråer således kan ta hänsyn till i anpassningen mot hållbar rådgivning. Redovisningsbyråer befinner sig idag i en situation där de har möjlighet att påverka redovisningskonsulters kompetens och förmåga att skapa medvetenhet och engagemang, förmedla kunskap inom hållbarhet och förändra företags påverkan på miljön. Detta förutsatt att de arbetar med kompetensutveckling inom identifierade kompetensområden; sociala, tekniska och affektiva förmågor samt tar hänsyn till; en integrerad strategi, kundstock och efterfrågan, byråns mål med kompetensutveckling, vilka som avses att arbeta med hållbar rådgivning, inlärningsmiljön och läranderesultatet. / The work with sustainability is a current topic today that more and more companies choose to take part in. Due to this fact, the traditional role of the accounting consultant may change. However, attention is paid to lack of competence from the consultants, whereupon competence development in sustainable guidance is essential. The adaptation to work with sustainability and develop the consultants’ competence enables accounting firms to achieve the goal of guiding companies towards a sustainable growth. The purpose of the studies is to identify the competence areas in which accounting consultants need to develop competence in order to be able to guide companies in an optimal way towards a sustainable growth. Furthermore, the purpose is to apply if there are factors that affect the work with competence development, which accounting firms can therefore take into account in the adaptation to work with sustainable guidance. Accounting firms today are in a situation where they have the opportunity to influence accounting consultants 'competence and ability to create awareness and commitment, convey knowledge in sustainability and change companies' impact on the environment. This given that they work with competence development within identified competence areas; social, technical and affective abilities and takes into account; an integrated strategy, customer base and demand, the agency's goals with competence development, those intended to work with sustainable guidance, the learning environment and the learning outcome.
