Previous issue date: 2016 / Esta dissertação pretende descrever e analisar elementos constituintes do Campus de Curitibanos da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) enquanto parte do Programa de Apoio a Planos de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (REUNI), o qual se constitui em um dos principais aspectos da mais recente etapa da contrarreforma da Educação Superior brasileira, reflexo da contrarreforma dentro do próprio Estado e das transformações no capitalismo contemporâneo. Para isso, problematizar-se-á inicialmente esse processo no contexto da acumulação flexível, com enfoque no REUNI, para então apresentar as principais características do processo de adesão da UFSC ao programa e a proposta de interiorização, com consequente criação do Campus de Curitibanos. Explanar-se-á também sobre as articulações locais para a criação da referida unidade acadêmica no município de Curitibanos, assim como as principais características do espaço histórico e geográfico onde este está inserido e suas particularidades no comparativo com as regiões catarinenses que também contam com campi da UFSC. Apresentados esses aspectos, buscar-se-á descrever as principais características da atual infraestrutura do Campus de Curitibanos, de seu quadro funcional, dos cursos de graduação e de sua inserção dentro da instituição UFSC, problematizando-as com o que é considerado o necessário pela comunidade universitária. Por fim, também serão analisados dados referentes ao corpo discente do Campus, a partir de informações relacionadas ao ingresso, permanência e o perfil desses estudantes.<br> / Abstract : This thesis intends to describe and analyze certain elements that are components to the Curitibanos' Campus of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) as part of the Supporting Program of Restructuration and Expansion of the Federal Universities (REUNI), which is a section of one of the main aspects of the most recent reform in Brazilian College Education, that is, in itself, a reflection of the reform of the State and the transformations in contemporary capitalism. To achieve the proposed goal, the initial issue targeted is the process of reforms within the context of flexible accumulation, focusing on REUNI as to present the key characteristics of the program adhesion process undertaken by UFSC, and the internalization proposition that resulted in the creation of Curitibanos' Campus. It will be attempted, as well, to shed light over the local assertions regarding the creation of said academic unit at Curitibanos' county, as well as the main characteristics of the historical and geographical zone that it is inserted at, and its peculiarities whilst compared to other regions of the Santa Catarina State that are also home to other UFSC campuses. Having introduced these aspects, it will be endeavored to describe the leading characteristics of the present infrastructure of Curitibanos' campus, of its personnel, the undergraduate courses and its immersion inside UFSC's institution, confronting them against what is considered to be necessary by the academic community. To conclude, the data regarding the student body will also be analyzed, correlating the information gathered about admission, abidance and the student's profile.
