In 2017 an American actress started a movement called Metoo. Almostinstantly the word spread over the world and women from all across theglobe came together to fight the occurring sexual harassments in workenvironments. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the Swedishlegislation protects employees from sexual harassments and whatrequirements the law place on employers proactively and reactivelyregarding sexual harassment in the workplace. Furthermore, the essay studieshow the Metoo movement has impacted the Swedish legislation and how theregulations are applied in film-and screen business regarding sexualharassment. By studying EU law, Swedish legislation, case law, literature and otherregulations this essay will answer the thesis questions. The work withpreventing sexual harassment will never be completed for the employerbecause of the design of the regulation. With help from the Metoo movementa new sexual assault law was constructed to make to easier to be convicted ofrape. The scene and screen operation is regulated mainly by collectiveagreements because of the special work conditions
