Sobretudo sobre as populações que o habitam que são possuidoras de saberes tradicionais vinculados às
suas histórias. Correm o risco de desaparecerem em face da ausência de um modelo que de fato enfrente o discurso único da supremacia do agronegócio convencional em detrimento de outras formas de promoção do desenvolvimento regional. A experiência
de aproveitamento sustentável dos recursos do bioma Cerrado no nordeste goiano, em particular nos municípios de Mambaí e Damianópolis, apresenta novas possibilidades de geração de ocupação e renda para muitas famílias. Estas estão identificadas com os princípios da economia solidária ou outras iniciativas econômicas, que atuam por dentro e por fora do mercado convencional, de forma coletiva e cooperada. O eixo norteador deste trabalho é o reconhecimento da existência de produtos que trazem valores outros que não os determinados pela lógica rentista do capitalismo. Esses valores são atributos territoriais que definem a configuração de uma nova ruralidade, comprometida
com a preservação da biodiversidade, o fortalecimento de manifestações culturais e estilo de vida que os habitantes dos grandes centros almejam. O estudo se propõe como desafio o desvelamento deste valor substantivo, mas ignorado pelo mercado consumidor, procurando dar-lhe visibilidade e validação científica.
_______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The accelerated progress of the conventional agribusiness in areas of savannah from the Brazilian Midwest region has caused a devastator effect over the biome. In doing so, populations that inhabit such areas and are holders of traditional knowledge linked to their stories have also felt the harmful effects of the agribusiness. As a result, these populations are running a risk of disappearing in the face of the absence of a model that really confronts the rhetoric of the conventional agribusiness supremacy at the expense
of other forms of regional development. The experience of making good use of resources and sustainable development in the Goiás northeast biome, particularly in the municipalities of Mambaí and Damianópolis, presents new opportunities for many families in employment and income generation. These opportunities are identified with the principles of the Solidary Economy as well of other economic initiatives which work inside and outside of the conventional market in a collective and cooperative way. The main guideline of this work is the recognition of the existence of products that bring
values other than those determined by the logic of the capitalism. These values are territorial attributes that define the configuration of a new rural environment, which it is committed to the preservation of biodiversity, cultural strengthening and the lifestyle of the inhabitants of big cities. The study intents to challenge this substantive value that is constantly ignored by the consumer market, trying to give to it visibility and scientific validation.
