Sagor har under alla tider varit verktyg för att underhålla, inspirera och utbilda speciellt barn. För många av oss har sagan spelat en central och viktig roll i vår uppväxt och från dom har vi minnen som aldrig försvinner. Vi minns rytmen i texten, färgerna i bilden eller personen som berättade dom. Trolland är ett projekt som med sagans värld undersöker hur en lärandemiljö för barn kan utformas. Projektet söker inspiration i, men eftersträvar inte att vara, en sagovärld likt den som Tove Jansson beskriver i sitt författarskap. Likt flera små bergstoppar tittar förskolan Trolland upp i Vasalunds villastad. Fasadens brända yta reflekterar ljuset likt snö på ett berg. Och liksom ett berg har den också borrat sig ner och stadigt rotat sig i den sluttande tomten på Charlottenborgsvägen. Utifrån kan den upplevas som en mörk och vemodig byggnad, mörk, med gapande fönster och en hög fasad mot syd. På gården har en grop gjutits in som fylls med vatten under årets regniga dagar. Den samlar på naturens tårar, säger barnen. Men inuti har byggnaden en varmare ton av trä och kork. Hit kommer varje dag 45 barn som delas upp i tre avdelningar. De minsta huserar på bottenvåningen med egen ingång och tillgång till en avskiljd gård. De delar våning med förskolans kök och matsal. Flera smala trapplopp tränger sig in mellan fyra volymer och binder samman planen. Byggnadens mellersta plan delas av förskolans äldre barn uppdelade i två avdelningar. Här finns huvudentrén som också kopplar planet till förskolans stora gård. Det översta planet används genemsamt av huset. Här finns ett rörelserum med förskolans eget universum, och genom takfönstret, högt upp, syns det stora universum under vinterhalvårets mörka mornar. I ateljén vätter ett stort fönster mot sydväst. Det går från golv till tak och man kan få svindel om man står riktigt nära. / Tales has always been a tool to entertain, inspire and educate children in particular. For many of us the saga played a central and important role in our upbringing and from them we have memories that will never disappear. We remember the rhythm of the text, the colors in the image or the person who told them. Trolland is a project that with the fairytale world explores how a learning environment for children can be designed. The project seeks inspiration in, but do not aspire to be, a fairytale world like the one that Tove Jansson describes in her writing. Like several small peaks the preschool Trolland shows itself among the houses in Vasalunds. The facades scorched surface reflects light like snow on a mountain. And like a mountain, it has also drilled down and firmly rooted in the sloping plot at Charlottenborg road. From it can be seen as a dark and melancholy building, dark, with gaping windows and a high facade facing south. At the yard a pit fills with water during the rainy days. It collects the tears of the nature, the children say. But inside, the building has a warmer tone of wood and cork. Here comes every day 45 children divided into three sections. The section for the youngest, on the ground floor, got a private entrance and access to a secluded yard. They share the floor with the preschool kitchen and dining room. Several narrow flights of stairs penetrates into four volumes and binds together the plan. The building's middle floor is shared by the preschools older children divided into two sections. Here are the main entrance, which also connects the plane to the preschools large yard. The top floor is for shared use of the house. Here is a movement room with the preschools own universe, and through the skylight, high up, you can see the vast universe during the winter dark mornings. The studio overlooks a large window facing south. It goes from the floor to the ceiling and one can get dizzy if you stand really close.
