visibilidade nas últimas décadas. Fundamenta-se na literatura sobre divisão sexual do trabalho, relações de gênero, campesinato, constituição do sujeito no feminismo e nas práticas de resistência adotadas pelas protagonistas desses movimentos. Incorpora as contribuições que emergem do debate sobre a segunda onda do feminismo no Brasil e no mundo para identificar as distintas fases da trajetória dos movimentos de mulheres rurais; analisar o conteúdo das suas lutas e suas estratégias de ação; e, detectar os pontos de confluência, unidade e de conflito. A opção metodológica foi pela análise integrada dos processos organizativos e das plataformas de ação dos movimentos de mulheres rurais de abrangência regional e nacional, recorrendo à abordagem de movimentos sociais conformados em rede. Além da discussão da bibliografia, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas e uma pesquisa documental nos acervos dos movimentos selecionados. Para compreender a prática feminista no campo aborda-se os debates comuns sobre a natureza das relações de gênero, os entrecruzamentos entre gênero e classe e o papel do feminismo no campo e suas implicações para a ação coletiva. Observou-se várias configurações que incluem movimentos autônomos de mulheres e movimentos mistos, revelando as alianças construídas com outros movimentos presentes em contextos urbanos e rurais, e com distintas escalas de atuação, que vão do plano local ao global. E, também, mudanças nas agendas desses movimentos que se ampliaram, da luta inicial pelo reconhecimento das mulheres como trabalhadoras, à participação política, pelo acesso a direitos e políticas públicas, para a proposição de um projeto de sociedade, que integra o feminismo como parte da transformação da agricultura e que articula os temas da agroecologia, da soberania alimentar e da economia feminista, além daqueles relativos à ética do cuidado e do desenvolvimento. / This dissertation looks at some of the social movements of rural women in Brazil, which have gained visibility in recent decades. It is based on the literature on the gender division of labor, gender relations, peasantry, subject constitution in feminism, and on the resistance practices adopted by these movements’ protagonists. It incorporates contributions arising from debate on the second feminism wave in in Brazil and in the world to identify the different phases of the course of rural women movements; to analyze the content of their struggles and action strategies; and to identify the points of confluence, unity, and conflict. The methodology employed was the integrated analysis of the organizational processes and the action platforms of rural women movements, both regionally and nationwide, resorting to the approach of social movements organized into networks. In addition to discussion of the bibliography, semi-structured interviews were held, as well as documental research in the collections of the selected movements. For an understanding of the feminist practice in rural areas, consideration was given to common discussions about the nature of gender relations, the interweaving of gender and class with feminism’s role in rural areas, as well as to their implications for collective action. Different configurations have been detected, including autonomous women movements and mixed movements, bringing to light the alliances with other movements current in urban and rural contexts and with different scopes of activity, from the local to the global. Also studied were the changes in these movements’ agenda, which expanded from the initial fight for recognition of women as workers to political participation, access to political rights and public policies to the proposition of a farming model that includes feminism as part of a broad transformation.
