Previous issue date: 2017-01-16 / In this thesis, the processes that respond to the production of the urban mobility
patternsstructured in Goiânia over the last 85 years are analyzed from a sociospatialperspective,
with emphasis on the period from 2002 to 2016. For this work,
theconstruction of a panorama of urban mobility on various geographical scales
wasconducted, starting from the global level, going through the national and
theintrametropolitan levels to establish the connections with the municipal
scalerepresented by the state capital Goiânia and its particularities. Throughout the
research,we investigated the factors that contribute to the production of an urban mobility
patternthat is strongly focused on the displacements carried out through the use of
privatevehicles and the production of conditions that make displacements by nonmotorizedmeans
difficult or even impossible, such as walking or cycling on cycling routes.
Byanalyzing the urban transportation profile available to the population of Goiânia,
weintended to approach the relation that this element establishes with the typical
dynamicsof the urban space and also, considering the normative and legal appliances
centralitythat, mainly since 2002, have contributed to the implementation of actions and
projectsthat positively impact local urban mobility, starting with the resumption of
investmentsin projects related to the improvement of the public transportation system and
theavailability of several cycling routes in the capital and its surroundings / Nesta tese, são analisados, em uma perspectiva socioespacial, os processos
querespondem pela produção dos padrões de mobilidade urbana estruturados em
Goiânia,ao longo dos últimos 85 anos, com destaque para o período compreendido entre
os anos2002 a 2016. Para a condução deste trabalho contou-se com a construção de
umpanorama da mobilidade urbana em várias escalas geográficas, partindo do nível
global,passando pelo nacional, pelo intrametropolitano para estabelecer as conexões
com aescala municipal representada pela capital do estado Goiânia e suas
particularidades.Ao longo da pesquisa, investigamos os fatores que respondem pela
produção de umpadrão de mobilidade urbana fortemente centrado nos deslocamentos
realizadosmediante o uso de automóveis particulares e na produção de condições que
dificultamou até mesmo inviabilizam deslocamentos realizados por meios não
motorizados, aexemplo dos deslocamentos a pé ou através de bicicletas em rotas
cicláveis. Por meio daanálise do perfil de transporte urbano disponibilizado para a
população de Goiânia,procurou-se abordar a relação que este elemento estabelece com
as dinâmicas típicas doespaço urbano e, também, considerando a centralidade dos
aparatos normativos e legaisque, sobretudo, a partir de 2002, vêm contribuindo para a
implantação de ações eprojetos que impactem positivamente a mobilidade urbana local,
a partir da retomada deinvestimentos em projetos ligados ao melhoramento do sistema
de transporte público eda disponibilização de várias rotas cicláveis na capital e seu
entorno.
