Previous issue date: 2016-02-12 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Fundo Mackenzie de Pesquisa / This dissertation focuses on analyzing what has been done in combating violence against women, which will be held through feminist perspectives and masculinities, highlighting the role of the judiciary, and focusing on groups with authors of violence. Thus, considering the initiatives with men, looking to sensitize them about the implications of gender inequality in society and behavior change possibilities, one law analysis is also necessary, since there are legal issues involved in reflective activities of these groups, revealing that even the Judiciary plays a role in the deconstruction of violence against women. In this sense, this dissertation sought to 1) understand the struggle for women's rights and against violence; 2) present the reality of violence on data and statistics; 3) know the protection law; 4) point out the actions and judicial policies of combating violence against women; 5) and understand the discussion of masculinities and focus groups with men who have practiced violence. Of course, the society has advanced the design of the social role of women, mainly through the struggle of the feminist movement, but beyond comprehension as female condition, it is important to consider the look on masculinities, understanding that violence against women must be analyzed as a complex relationship involving victim and perpetrator, or rather, women victims of violence and men author of violence. In short, the work with men who have used violence reflects a paradigm shift stemming from the discussions on gender equality, and it involves the search for a social transformation. Therefore, groups with authors of violence expand the vision of violence against women, not only as a woman‟s concern, also involving the man in the deconstruction and construction of new social relations, not taken by gender inequality. / Esta dissertação tem por objetivo geral oferecer um panorama do que tem sido realizado no enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher, o que será feito por meio de perspectivas feministas e de masculinidades, destacando o papel do Poder Judiciário, e apresentando os grupos de reflexão com autores de violência. Assim, tendo em vista que existem iniciativas de trabalho com homens, procurando sensibilizá-los quanto às implicações da desigualdade de gênero na sociedade e as possibilidades de mudança de comportamento, uma análise do Direito também se faz necessária, visto que há questões jurídicas envolvidas na atuação desses grupos reflexivos, revelando, inclusive, que o Poder Judiciário também tem seu papel na desconstrução da violência contra a mulher. Nesse sentido, buscou-se: 1) compreender a luta pelos direitos das mulheres e contra a violência; 2) apresentar a realidade da violência em dados e estatísticas; 3) conhecer a legislação que as defende; 4) apontar as ações e políticas judiciárias de enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher; 5) e entender a discussão a respeito das masculinidades e dos grupos de reflexão com homens autores de violência. Por certo, a sociedade tem avançado na concepção a respeito das mulheres, principalmente por meio da luta do movimento feminista, porém além da compreensão quanto à condição feminina, é importante considerar o olhar sobre as masculinidades, entendendo que a violência contra a mulher precisa ser analisada como uma relação complexa que envolve vítima e agressor, ou melhor dizendo, mulher em situação de violência e homem autor de violência. Em síntese, a atuação com homens autores de violência é reflexo de uma mudança de paradigma, que decorre das discussões sobre a igualdade de gênero, e que envolve a busca de uma transformação social. Portanto, tem-se que os grupos de reflexão ampliam a visão da violência contra a mulher, para além da própria mulher, também envolvendo o homem na desconstrução e construção de novas relações sociais, não tomadas pela desigualdade de gênero.
