La presente investigación se inscribe a un marco teórico que considera al gaslighting en la
pareja como un tipo de violencia psicológica que se expresa de manera muy sutil y cuenta
con diversas manifestaciones que son perjudiciales para la víctima. Este tipo de violencia
puede ser entendida como un comportamiento manipulativo de parte del agresor o gaslighter
que hace que la víctima dude de sí misma y de su construcción o criterio sobre la realidad. A
su vez, es parte de la técnica de culpabilización y suele minimizar las vivencias de las
personas agredidas. Por ello, a partir de lo mencionado, se ha desarrollado una investigación
con el objetivo general de analizar la percepción de gaslighting en un grupo de mujeres
víctimas de violencia en el contexto de pandemia (COVID-19). Como objetivo específico,
se busca analizar cómo las variables sociodemográficas como el estado civil y la condición
de ser madres operan como factores de riesgo en la percepción del gaslighting en la población
de estudio. Además, para la presente investigación se empleó un enfoque temático utilizando
marcos interpretativos que brindan el fundamento conceptual y metodológico a la
investigación, la cual resulta ser la más idónea para alcanzar los objetivos trazados. Dentro
de los resultados, se encontraron dos ejes de la percepción del gaslighting, el primero hace
referencia a la manipulación psicológica que se manifiesta a través de la desconfianza en la
relación de pareja, el desplazamiento de responsabilidad y la inducción de dudas sobre el
propio criterio y la auto percepción. El segundo eje hace referencia a la invalidación de la
víctima que se da a nivel de invalidación emocional y por medio de insultos y
descalificaciones. La discusión general problematiza desde una perspectiva reflexiva, la
manera en cómo las participantes han percibido dichas manifestaciones del gaslighting / This research adheres to a theoretical framework that considers partner gaslighting as a type
of psychological violence that is expressed in a very subtle way and has various
manifestations that are harmful to the victim. This type of violence can be understood as a
manipulative behavior on the part of the aggressor or gaslighter that makes the victim doubt
herself and her construction or criteria about reality. At the same time, it is part of the blaming
technique and usually minimizes the experiences of the attacked people. Therefore, based on
the aforementioned, an investigation has been developed with the general objective of
analyzing the perception of gaslighting in a group of women victims of violence in the
context of a pandemic (COVID-19). As a specific objective, it seeks to analyze how
sociodemographic variables such as marital status and the condition of being mothers operate
as risk factors in the perception of gaslighting in the study population. In addition, for the
present investigation a thematic approach was used using the phenomenological design
technique, which turns out to be the most suitable to achieve the objectives set. Among the
results, two axes of the perception of gaslighting were found, the first one refers to the
psychological manipulation that manifests itself through distrust in the couple's relationship,
the displacement of responsibility and the induction of doubts about one's own criteria and
self-perception. The second axis refers to the invalidation of the victim that occurs at the
level of emotional invalidation and through insults and disqualification. The general
discussion problematizes, from a reflective perspective, the way in which the participants
have perceived these manifestations of gaslighting
