Previous issue date: 2006-02-18 / Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos / The process of the lean production, for the which many organizations had passing last the twenty years, is being a object of researches since the changes in the universe of the work causes many and contradictories opinions about the forms of manage and organize the production and the workers. On this scene, this study had as objective to analyze the possible impacts of the lean production on the health of the workers, through the state of the art and a research with workers as the intention of characterize aspects of a real situation of work, in confrontation with literature. For this field, was interviewed managers and workers of a plant that recently adopted this model of production, in order to understand the perception, especially of the laborers, on the occurred modifications. We conclude that, the immediate results shows that after the introduction of the modifications had an improvement in the workers participation, resulting in a bigger satisfaction in the work, and that although evidenced an increase in the increase of the work, the greater part of the interviewed workers prefers the current management form. On the other hand, a more subjective analysis of the workers answerers reveals that a possible suffering, due to the intensification of the rhythm of work and the fear of the unemployment. / O processo de produção enxuta, pelo qual diversas organizações vêm passando nos últimos anos, está se constituindo em objeto de interesse para investigação, à medida que essas mudanças no universo do trabalho geram opiniões diversas e, muitas vezes, opostas sobre as formas de gerir e organizar a produção e os trabalhadores. Diante deste cenário, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar os possíveis impactos da produção enxuta sobre a saúde dos trabalhadores, através de uma revisão bibliográfica e de uma pesquisa de campo com o intuito de problematizar aspectos de uma situação real de trabalho, em confronto com a literatura pesquisada. Para tanto, foram entrevistados gerentes e trabalhadores de uma fábrica que adotou recentemente esse modelo de produção, de modo a apreender a percepção, principalmente dos operários, sobre as modificações ocorridas. Concluímos que os resultados imediatos mostram que após a introdução das modificações houve uma melhora na participação dos trabalhadores, resultando em uma maior satisfação no trabalho, e que, apesar de constatado um aumento na intensificação do trabalho, a maioria dos trabalhadores entrevistados estão preferindo a forma atual de gestão. Por outro lado, a análise mais subjetiva das declarações aponta para um possível sofrimento, em função da intensificação do ritmo de trabalho e do medo do desemprego.
