This is a personal project with the aim of finding and creating accessible and just futures, it is about changing the narrative through holistic design, and changing for change. It is about a process of co-creating a pedagogical tool through the means of play, care and respect, together with school pedagogues and students’ with (dis)abilities. It is about the process of creating a tool and a bridge for a marginalized group to claim their agency, abilities and identities, while offering them equal opportunities for future making in our society. It is about taking their present needs and dreams into consideration when creating new worlds and futures. But this is not solely about a process, it is about designing new opportunities and ways to expand the idea of our collective world-making and establishment. It is about designing for a shared, evolving community, while inviting others into co-ownership and co-responsible pedagogics. It is about the action of challenging the present power-structures and privileges, but to encourage other change-makers to see the challenges as potentialities rather than hindrances. This design project has allowed me to honor the identities, abilities and knowledge that are carried within our society. It is to live to see a different tomorrow, to see the potentialities for change, to see that all of the days coming after make it possible for yet another dream to be dreamt, cared for, and acted upon. And with this project, I invite you whoever you are, to create change, even in a minor way. This project is further on, outlined by my deepest respect and care. it is outlined by me, a woman, a + Change designer, an ally, a feminist, who saw, who listened and who tried her best to voice the dreams of those who just needed one extra voice.
