Digital mognad i fjärrvärmebranschens myndighetsrapportering

This thesis investigates the needs and possibilities with digitalization of regulatory reports in the central heating sector. The prerequisites for an automated solution for generating digital reports are investigated for the central heating producer Värmevärden focusing on two reports on environmental exhaust data sent to Naturvårdsverket. The processes from raw data to completed report at Värmevärden as well as the processes and final use of the data at Naturvårdsverket were studied in an interview study. The study also covered digitalization projects within the organisations and an assessment of their digital maturity in relation to these processes was made. The analysis was made with the digital maturity model DiMiOS, developed by the Swedish center for digital innovation. Findings of the study concludes that an automated solution for generating digital reports would suffer from risks of being sub-optimal due to the lower level of digital maturity of Värmevärden. Värmevärdens constraining digital heritage needs to be modernised in order to obtain most possible benefit from other digitalisation projects. The digital maturity level of Naturvårdsverket was found to be high, with the consequence that digitalisation initiatives are likely to be successful.
