_______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The present study verified the functional relations existing between the verbal operants, tact and mand, with the same topographical form. Therefore, it was verified the occurrence of mand answers after the direct training of the tact answers. In order to do that, multiples training were programmed. Six children between two and four years old participated, they attended a daycare, the experiments were done there. A software was programmed and installed in a notebook which was used to collect data. The topography of the answers was “Let” and “Zut”, they were mentioned respectively to the positions, left and right. In the pre-experimental phases, the repertoires were trained, the children were supposed to point and nominate the personages that were used later, besides echoing “Let” and “Zut”. The experimental phases were subdivided. In Phase 1 answers of tact were trained and we verified mand answers. In Phase 2 mand answers were trained and we tested the tact answers. And in Phase 3 the relations of position were inverted and we trained the answers of tact inverted and tested the inversion of the mand. Four of six participants emitted mand answers in Phase 1. Five of six participants emitted inverted mand answers in Phase 3. These results were discussed on the basis of the requirement of the verbal community, in the age of the participants, among other variables that may have favored the occurrence of the functional dependence.
