The experience we have from doing an internship through the art teacher education was a lack of implementation of digital media inside art classrooms and during art class. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to investigate how art teachers relate to integration and implementation of digital media in their teaching according to research. Our research takes place through a comprehensive search process of scientific articles that deal with the subject area. The results from the research show a lack of resources in the form of financial support, teachers who feel they do not have enough competence in the subject area, lack of availability to use digital media and tools in their class, opinions from art teachers on what the purpose of using digital tools in a practical subject is, when material like paintbrushes can produce the same result.
