Previous issue date: 2009 / Resumo: A educação infantil é uma etapa da vida da criança na qual são construídos e internalizados conceitos, e essa construção recebe forte influência do contexto em que a criança está inserida. Dentro da escola, todo o contexto que a cerca exerce um importante papel mediador, e o professor ocupa papel fundamental nesse processo de aprendizagem e de possibilidade de novas descobertas, principalmente pela utilização do trabalho corporal, uma das muitas linguagens por meio da qual são experimentadas e internalizadas tais descobertas. Nessa linha de raciocínio, o presente trabalho se propôs a observar a atuação de oito professoras generalistas, de duas escolas municipais da cidade de Barra do Garças-MT, responsáveis pela realização do trabalho corporal com crianças de quatro e cinco anos, analisar quais conhecimentos de que elas dispõem para tal tarefa, e se elas conseguem pensar a diversidade da cultura corporal, respeitando-a e incluindo-a nesses momentos. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, tendo como instrumentos de coleta de dados a observação das aulas das professoras, seguidas de entrevistas gravadas e de encontros informais com as professoras e diretoras. Os dados obtidos foram expressos em forma de quadros, analisados, confrontando a observação das aulas, as respostas dadas nas entrevistas e a bibliografia utilizada no trabalho. O estudo permitiu perceber que as professoras não dispõem de elementos e conhecimentos suficientes para realizar o trabalho corporal com as crianças na educação infantil, fato abordado pelas próprias professoras. Outro fator importante para o trabalho foi o de as professoras não conseguirem utilizar a diversidade cultural e incluí-la em suas aulas. O fato de algumas professoras sentirem a necessidade de um professor da área da educação física, para trabalhar com as crianças, nos levou a concluir que uma parceria entre esses dois profissionais, de maneira que o especialista trabalhasse como um assessor, auxiliando a generalista na montagem e preparação das atividades, seria pertinente para contextualizar os momentos de sala de aula e os momentos do trabalho corporal, de forma que não houvesse uma separação entre o que acontece na sala e o que acontece fora dela. / Abstract: The early childhood education is a life stage in which the child is constructed and internalized concepts, and that construction receives strong influence on the context in which the child is inserted. Inside the school, the whole context that the fence has an important mediating role, and the teacher plays key role in this process of learning and possibility of new discoveries, especially the use of the body work, one of many languages through which they are tried and internalized such findings. In this line of reasoning, this work is proposed to observe the general performance of eight teachers, two municipal schools of the city of Barra do Garças-MT, responsible for conducting body of work with children of four and five years, analyze the knowledge of they have for this task, and whether they can think the diversity of culture body, respecting it and including it in these moments. The methodology was a descriptive qualitative research, and as tools for collecting data to observe the lessons of the teachers, followed by recorded interviews and informal meetings with teachers and principals. Data were expressed in the form of tables, analyzed, confronting the observation of lessons, the answers given in the interviews and literature used in the work. The study allowed to realize that the teachers do not have sufficient evidence and knowledge to perform the body work with children in early childhood education, a fact addressed by their teachers. Another important factor for the study was to the teachers are unable to use the cultural diversity and include it in their classes. The fact that some teachers feel the need for a teacher of physical education area for working with children, led us to conclude that a partnership between these two professionals, so that the specialist working as a consultant, assisting in the general assembly and preparation of activities, would be relevant to contextualize the moments of the classroom and the moments of the body work, so there was a separation between what happens in the classroom and what happens outside. / Mestrado / Educação Fisica e Sociedade / Mestre em Educação Física
