Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen bland kvinnor i världen. Tidigare studier fastställer att kvinnor med bröstcancer hamnar i chock vid cancerbeskedet och har ett stort behov av stöd under behandling. Statistiskt pekar förekomsten på en ökning av cancerfall. För att ge så god omvårdnad som möjligt behöver det undersökas vilket behov av stöd och information patienterna har under sjukdomsförloppet. Syfte: Syftet med litteratursökningen var att undersöka kvinnors behov av stöd och information i samband med bröstcancer. Metod: En litteraturstudie med kvalitativ innehållsanalys baserad på 10 vetenskapliga artiklar. Databaserna PubMed och CINAHL användes för artikelsökningen. Inklusions- och exklusionskriterier genomfördes. Kvaliteten på studierna granskades utifrån SBU:s kvalitetsgranskningsmall och analyserades sedan efter Fribergs (2017) metodbeskrivning. Resultat: Resultatet har två huvudteman: information och stöd; samt sex subteman: hur information förmedlades, sjuksköterskans betydelse och roll i informationsprocessen, emotionellt stöd från sjuksköterskan, socialt stöd från anhöriga, när stödet är missriktat, egna stödjande strategier. Konklusion: Den bröstcancerdrabbade hade ett stort behov av framför allt individuell information och emotionellt stöd under hela vårdförloppet. Sjuksköterskan var ett oumbärligt stöd för många patienter och hade en viktig roll vid tillfrisknandet. / Background: Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women in the world. Previous studies establish that women with breast cancer end up in shock at the cancer diagnosis and have a great need for support during treatment. Statistically, the incidence indicates an increase in cancer cases. In order to provide the best possible care, it is necessary to investigate the need for support and information the patients have during the course of the disease. Aim: The purpose of the literature search was to investigate women's need for support and information in connection with breast cancer. Method: A literature review with a qualitative approach based on 10 studies. The Literature searches were performed in the databases CINAHL and Pubmed. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were implemented. The quality review of the selected studies was carried out with SBU:s review template for qualitative studies, and the analysis was based on Friberg´s (2017) method description. Results: The results emerged two main themes which were information and support. Six subthemes were extracted from the main themes: how information was conveyed, the importance and role of the nurse in the information process, emotional support from the nurse, social support from relatives, when the aid is misdirected, own support strategies. Conclusion: The breastcancer sufferer had a great need for, above all, individual information and emotional support throughout the care process. The nurse was an indispensable support for many patients and played an important role in recovery.
