Orientador: Lélio Luiz de Oliveira / Banca: Pedro Geraldo Tosi / Banca: Paulo César Gonçalves / Resumo: O trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer o cotidiano econômico dos imigrantes italianos, na virada do século XIX para o século XX, entre 1887 e 1914, no município de Ribeirão Preto - SP, vinculados a atividades econômicas conhecidas como de abastecimento interno e de subsistência. A pesquisa vem contribuir e confrontar com estudos relativos à região da Alta Mogiana que tem como ênfase principal a cafeicultura como fator predominante. Noutros termos, a imigração, especialmente a italiana, teve vínculos parciais com a produção do café que não envolvia totalmente o cotidiano desta mão-de-obra. Visão até então não muito desvendada e demonstrada, o que este trabalho procura contribuir. É um novo olhar sobre a imigração italiana que vivia às margens e nos corredores dos cafezais / Abstract: The work aims to evaluate the economic daily of the Italian immigrants at the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, between 1887 and 1914 in Ribeirão Preto - SP, linked to economic activity known as domestic supply and livelihoods. The study is a contribution and to compare with studies on the region of Upper Mogiana which has as its primary focus to coffee as the predominant factor. In other words, immigration, especially in Italy, had links with the partial production of coffee that did not involve all of the daily manpower.
