En el mundo actual las empresas mineras han dado un paso importante a la transformación
digital impulsados por el inicio de la Pandemia COVID – 19, sin embargo, aún sigue siendo
incipiente en el sector minero áreas como Inteligencia del negocio o Transformación digital
donde aún están en proceso de engranar con las necesidades operativas del negocio minero. En
la industria minera la tecnología es uno de los pilares para crear valor en las empresas, debido
a que el círculo virtuoso que genera la tecnología con la reducción de costos en los procesos
mineros es de vital importancia para la sostenibilidad del negocio minera porque el precio de
los productos mineros no los maneja la empresa, sino el mercado mundial y hoy en día los
precios son muy volubles a las coyunturas sociales y políticas. Dentro de toda esta
incertidumbre se vio conveniente analizar las oportunidades que tiene la empresa Minera ABC
ubicada en Pasco - Perú, la cual se encuentra inmerso en plena transformación cultural desde
hace 3 años afianzando la actitud de sus colaboradores por cambiar de “mindset” e innovar;
por ello se ha decidido aplicar diversas tecnologías aprendidas en el curso para optimizar los
procesos mineros y agilizar la toma de decisiones en tiempo real. / In today's world, mining companies have taken an important step towards digital
transformation driven by the onset of the COVID Pandemic - 19, however, areas such as
Business Intelligence or Digital Transformation are still incipient in the mining sector and are
still in the process of meshing with the operational needs of the mining business. In the mining
industry, technology is one of the pillars to create value in companies, because the virtuous
circle that technology generates with the reduction of costs in mining processes is of vital
importance for the sustainability of the mining business because the price of mining products
is not managed by the company, but by the world market and today prices are very fickle to
social and political situations. Within all this uncertainty, it was convenient to analyze the
opportunities that the company Minera ABC located in Pasco - Peru, which is immersed in full
cultural transformation since 3 years ago, strengthening the attitude of its collaborators to
change the "mindset" and innovate; therefore it has been decided to apply various technologies
learned in the course to optimize mining processes and streamline decision making in real time.
