This essay will address how teachers pursue preventive work against drug abuse in aschool Environment. It will be addressed on a national and international level. The essay will highlight different programs and approaches, based on three perspectives, the teacher's, the parents' and the student's. The programs that will be analysed are SET, ANDT (S), PSHE, D.A.R.E . The essay will critically review the programs and highlight laws and humanitarian proceedings on the subject. Through the systematic search method via the databases; ERC, ERIC and SwePub results were found that showed different peer reviewed articles that gave us information about different perspectives and programs on the subject. The swedish National Agency for Education was also used as a complement, to support our discussion. The results show that opinions vary depending on the perspective used and that national and international laws and research ethics have a great influence on the outcome. It also shows that the drug policy has changed over time and the more libral view on drugs also suggests a change on how we work preventive with drugs.
