Previous issue date: 2006 / A pesquisa tem por objetivo empreender a análise das matrizes discursivas referentes às mulheres, presentes nos filmes de animação A Bela e A Fera, A Bela e A Fera: O natal encantado, Mulan, Mulan: a saga continua, Shrek e Shrek 2 bem como nos desenhos animados Meninas Superpoderosas e Três Espiãs Demais. Parto do princípio de que os gêneros são construídos e não um dado a priori, fornecido pela natureza, e que as mídias participam ativamente dessa construção. Observo o interdiscurso entre as fontes escolhidas, detenho-me sobre as condições de possibilidade que originam as representações acerca das mulheres e como estão construídas as cenas enunciativas dos filmes e desenhos. Dentre as principais matrizes discursivas encontradas destaco as referentes ao amor romântico, sedução, casamento, tolice, consumismo, perspicácia, inteligência e coragem. Os estudos feministas e de gênero permitiram-me perceber que as matrizes promovem o binarismo contribuindo para a sustentação do sistema de sexo-gênero atual, o qual designa lugares diferenciados para homens e mulheres. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The goal of this research is to analyze the discursive matrixes concerning women present in the animation films Beauty and the Beast, Beauty and the Beast : The Enchanted Christmas, Mulan, Mulan 2, Shrek and Shrek 2 as well as in the cartoons Powerpuff Girls and Totally Spies. I take into consideration that genders are built instead of being a priori fact provided by nature and that the media participates actively of this process. I observe the interdiscourse among the chosen sources and I emphasize on the conditions of the possibility in which the representations of women originate and on how the enunciative scenes of films and cartoons are created. Within the main discursive matrixes, I point out the ones concerning romantic love, seduction, marriage, foolishness, consumerism, wittiness, intelligence and courage. The existing feminist and gender studies led me to realize that the matrixes promote the binarism contributing for the strengthening of the current sex-gender system, which designates different places for men and women.
