Research questions: How has managers' leadership style in the accounting industry been affected as a result of the telework?How has the managers' motivational work among their employees in the accounting industry been affected by telework? Method: The study was conducted using a qualitative research method with interviews as empirical material. Conclusion: It can be stated that the telework has not been affected by the principles of the transformative leadership of the respondents. On the other hand, the distance work has affected the respondents in that they have needed to change leadership methods and act more flexibly. The well-being of employees and satisfying their individual needs became extra important. It can be stated that managers' motivational work among the employees in the accounting industry was affected by the fact that they needed to change or strengthen their motivational work as a result of the distance work. Due to changed communication channels and the distance that the telework entailed, it became extra important with communication and to satisfy the individual's needs.
