Apesar do recorte temporal da investigação começar em 1999, ano de criação da UEG, atravessando as políticas dos governos de Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) e Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula), período no qual se concentraram as maiores taxas de expansão da educação superior, a análise de dados concretos será restrita às estatísticas de 1995 a 2015. O objetivo geral do trabalho foi analisar o processo de expansão e interiorização do ensino superior no estado de Goiás, tendo em vista a implantação e reestruturação da UEG - campus de Quirinópolis. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, buscou-se documentos emitidos pelo MEC e dados estatísticos referentes ao ensino superior no Brasil, no estado de Goiás e no município Quirinópolis, coletados em sites oficiais - como Inep/MEC e SESU. Outra fonte de informação documental foi o projeto protocolado na Assembleia Legislativa do estado de Goiás - projeto de reforma administrativa - que dispôs sobre a organização da administração direta, envolvendo ainda autarquias e fundações do Poder Executivo, de autoria do então governador Marconi Perillo (PSDB). A discussão deste projeto culminou na Lei nº 13.456, de 16 de abril de 1999, que criou a UEG. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This research discusses the expansion and internalization of higher education, having as a field of analysis the state of Goiás, specifically the municipality of Quirinópolis. In spite of the time cut of the investigation, it began in 1999, the year of creation of the State University of Goias (SUG), crossing the policies of the governments of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Lula), a period in which the highest rates of expansion of education analysis of specific data will be restricted to statistics from 1995 to 2015. The general objective of this work was to analyze the process of expansion and internalization of higher education in the state of Goiás, with a view to the implantation and restructuring of the SUG - Quirinópolis campus. For the development of the research, we searched for documents issued by the MEC and statistical data referring to higher education in Brazil, Goiás state and Quirinópolis municipality, collected on official websites such as Inep / MEC and SESU. Another source of documentary information was the project filed at the Legislative Assembly of the state of Goiás - administrative reform project, which dealt with the organization of the direct administration, also involving municipalities and foundations of the Executive Branch, authored by the then governor Marconi Perillo (PSDB).
