Luftburen logistik under Falklandskriget : En teorikonsumerande fallstudie av den luftburna logistiken under Falklandskriget

This study argues that there is a lack of understanding regarding airborne logistics and how it is best utilized and that this dearth of research stems from the overall want for more studies on logistics in general. The paucity of studies focusing on this aspect of logistics might be hampering the effective use of these resources. The focus of this study is therefore the airborne logistic operations during the Falklands War, which, due to its central importance to the logistic operations during that war, ought to promote a better understanding of the subject. Using a selection of logistic principles, the airborne logistic operations during the Falklands War have been analysed, showing that these principles can further our understanding in several ways. The principles don’t seem to have been implemented to the extent that they provided a decisive advantage on either side. Though, to the extent that they were implemented, the analyses seem to indicate that the principles had a significant impact on the effective utilization of airborne logistic resources.
