Previous issue date: 2016 / O plano de ensino e a metodologia pedagógica são alicerces para um curso de graduação. No entanto, parece existir um débito nas instituições brasileiras em relação a esses dois pilares. A Farmacologia sendo uma ciência dinâmica que estuda como o fármaco interage com o corpo humano, é umas das mais importantes disciplinas na formação do profissional na farmacoterapia. O propósito deste estudo é identificar e atualizar os conteúdos do plano de ensino e avaliar a metodologia pedagógica empregada na disciplina de Farmacologia do curso de graduação em Farmácia da UFSC. Para esta investigação foram utilizados questionários aplicados aos profissionais, que atuam na farmacoterapia, e aos discentes da disciplina de Farmacologia do curso de Farmácia nos semestres 2015/1 e 2 com o objetivo de definir o perfil atual do plano de ensino da disciplina. Em adição, testes de progresso para avaliar a metodologia pedagógica foram utilizados na disciplina, que atualmente utiliza uma adaptação da aprendizagem com base em problemas. Os resultados obtidos sugerem, 1) aumentar a ênfase nos assuntos Antibióticos, Farmacologia Gastrointestinal e Contraceptivos; 2) atualizar os assuntos abordados no plano de ensino da disciplina como Geriatria, Obesidade e Dermatologia; 3) diminuir a distância entre a disciplina Fisiologia, pré requisito para a Farmacologia. A pesquisa conclui ainda sobre a necessidade de melhor acompanhamento e investimento nas metodologias pedagógicas e planos de ensino condizentes com as necessidades atuais da saúde brasileira. <br> / Abstract : The teaching plan and the pedagogical methodology are pillars for an undergraduate program. However, there seems to be a debt in the Brazilians institutions in relation to these two pillars. These pillars must be strong, as foundation, as well as flexible to the constant updates of the market and adaptations in the learning methodology. The pharmacology being a dynamic science which studies the way the drug interacts with the human body, is one of the most important disciplines in the professional formation at pharmaceutics care. The purpose of this research is to identify, to adequate and to update the content of the teaching plan and the pedagogical methodology developed in the discipline of pharmacology of the undergraduate program in Pharmacy at UFSC. For this research surveys were applied to professionals that work at the pharmaceutical care and to students of the discipline of Pharmacology the undergraduate program Pharmacy in the first and second semesters of the year 2015, aiming to define the current profile of the teaching plan of the discipline and progress tests to measure the pedagogical methodology used at the discipline, which currently utilizes the methodology of problematization and the Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The obtained results suggest, 1) to improve the study about Antibiotics, Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Contraceptives; 2) to update the matters covered at the teaching plan such as Geriatrics, Obesity and Dermatology and 3) to reduce the distance between the discipline Physiology, prerequisite to Pharmacology. The research concludes the necessity of better monitoring and investments on the pedagogical methodologies and teaching plans suited to the current needs of Brazilians health.
