Previous issue date: 2008 / This work aimed the development of a design and structural assessment of a human centrifuge. Studies related to this line of research is recent, however it is necessary to study the physiological effects resulting from the gravitational force. The hypergravity causes effects on human physiology that endangers human life as an example, the flight safety of commercial and military aircraft. Several studies have been conducted at the Microgravity Center/PUCRS using specimens that mimic the effects of gravitational force on some structures of the human body. The implementation of a centrifuge will be used for training fighter pilots, validation of anti-g suits experiments of a scientific nature in the area of human physiology and other effects of hypergravity on humans. / Neste trabalho são propostos o desenvolvimento de um projeto e a avaliação estrutural de uma centrífuga humana. Os estudos correlatos a essa linha de pesquisa são recentes. Sabe-se, porém, que é necessário estudar os efeitos fisiológicos resultantes da força gravitacional. A hipergravidade ocasiona efeitos na fisiologia humana que põe em risco a vida humana, por exemplo, a segurança de vôo de aeronaves comerciais e militares. Vários estudos já foram realizados no Centro de Microgravidade da PUCRS utilizando corpos de prova que mimetizavam os efeitos da força gravitacional sobre algumas estruturas do corpo humano. A implementação de uma centrífuga servirá para treinamentos de pilotos, validação de dispositivos anti-G, experimentos de cunho científico na área de fisiologia humana e outros efeitos da hipergravidade no ser humano.
