O presente trabalho investiga a relação entre o fenômeno da toxicomania e a segregação como atual tratamento do mal-estar a partir da teoria dos discursos postulada por Lacan. Ao relacionarmos as mudanças operadas na cultura em virtude do avanço da técnica científica, mostramos a tentativa de supressão do mal-estar realizada tanto pelo Outro social quanto pelo toxicômano. Apresentamos as formulações efetuadas por Lacan sobre a noção de segregação com o objetivo de evidenciarmos de que forma a tentativa de rechaço da dimensão ética do gozo a partir da homogeneização das formas de gozar, da universalização dos grupos sociais e do campo de concentração generalizadodizem respeito à lógica do monosintoma e das comunidades de gozo, dentre as quais destacamos a toxicomania. O debate sobre a função clínica e política que as instituições especializadas no tratamento da toxicomania devem assumir nos fez discutir a importância da reintrodução da dimensão ética do gozo / The present work investigates the relation between the drug addiction phenomenon and segregation in the treatment of ill being nowadays, based on Lacans theory of the discourses. As we relate changes in culture due to the advance of scientific technology, we show the attempt to suppress the ill being by the social Other as well as the drug addict him or herself. We present Lacans developments on the notion of segregation aiming at showing how the attempt to sweep away the ethical dimension of the jouissance starting from homogenizing the different forms of jouissance, as well as the universalization of social groups and the generalized concentration camp, refer to the logic of the mono-symptom and the communities of jouissance, among which we point out the drug addiction. The debate on the clinical and political function that specialized institutions in the treatment of drug addiction must sustain, make us discuss the importance of the reintroduction of the ethical dimension of the jouissance
