Malmö högskola: Fakulteten för hälsa och samhälle, 2015.I studien beskriver vi hur informanterna reflekterar kring arbetet med hedersutsatta HBT-personer. Vad gäller tidigare forskning är detta ett tämligen outforskat ämne och den som finns tyder på att HBT-personer som lever i en hederskultur är i en särskilt utsatt situation. I hederskulturer gäller heteronormen och den som går emot denna norm riskerar att utsättas för allt från hot och begränsningar till att utsättas för fysiskt våld i olika stor utsträckning. Det som skiljer HBT-personer från hetero-personer som utsätts för hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck är att utvecklingen från att bli utsatt för hot till fysiskt våld ofta går mycket snabbt och i många fall behöver individerna akut hjälp. Studiens resultat tyder på att arbetet med hedersutsatta HBT-personer har stora brister, främst vad gäller kunskap och kompetens. Malmö University: Faculty of health and society, Department of health and society, 2015.This study describes the informants reflections regarding social work concerning honour-exposed LGBT-individuals. The topic is relatively unexplored and previous research indicates that LGBT-individuals who live in a culture of honour are especially vulnerable. In cultures of honour heterosexuality is regarded as main norm and individuals who oppose this norm are vulnerable and risks to be exposed to anything from threats and limitations to physical violence. What differentiates LGBT-persons from straight-persons who are exposed to honour-related violence and oppression is the process between being exposed to threats and the subjection of physical violence can rapidly escalate and these individuals are often in need of urgent help. The results of the study indicate that social work concerning honour-exposed LGBT-individuals contains major flaws and limitations, especially a lack of knowledge and skills. One major consequence of the flaws and limitations is that LGBT-individuals don’t receive the help and support they are in need of.Keywords: LGBT, honour, honour oppression, culture of honour, honour related violence, norms, social work
